Counter-intuitive. That is, what you don’t think of is what’s correct.

Or what you think is wrong turns out to be what’s correct.

The old prophet Isaiah said it this way: “The stone the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.” and “Every valley shall be exalted, and every hill laid low.”

That is to say, there will be a reversal in social and personal priorities. When the Messiah comes.

This is the way the “revolution to peace” was described by Isaiah.

More people will realize that the basic problem has been a refusal to examine the ancient assumptions. Many old unquestioned ideas still rule the thinking in people.

Fixation on the retention of old ideas. The veneration of the old ideas and the persons who are repositories of venerated knowledge. Encyclopedic memory is still the ideal of educators who pattern their lives after the example of Aristotle.

By examining the old unquestioned ideas, and testing them, we see that some of the old ideas have failed the test. This testing enables “science” to move forward. “Science” is just a manifestation of this change in social attitude. But it’s been very slow.

Educators don’t emphasize the basic rule of science as the Messianic idea.

Scientists began about the time of the prophets. 1350BC Akhnaton was an inspired proto-scientist. Greek science exploded after the messianic prophet Isaiah.

Jews didn’t “get the idea” when Jesus was teaching.

Science examines intuited ideation and exposes errors. Science works to advance what isn’t intuitively obvious, but nevertheless is true.

For instance Archimedes' principle of specific gravity didn’t become intuitive to Archimedes until he’d been working on it a long time. And it wasn’t intuitive to anyone else, either.

After the “genius” intuits what no one else can intuit, it becomes “intuitive” to the masses, like relativity is intuitive today. In fact relativity is a cliché today as when people say, “Everything is relative” and “It depends on your point of view.” This of course is often a false idea. But Einstein’s research itself is apparently valid.

As many humans really understand the Messianic rule, humanity enters the Messianic age. This brings the Messianic teaching into the conscious awareness of people, even if they’re not Jewish.

It’s not good when children are forced to learn a lot of misinformation. This wastes time, energy, and talent. But some ideas haven’t been carefully examined for centuries. And psychology is still a very young science.

It’s not good for psychologists to dismiss inspired states of human functioning as insane. Modern civilizations are still based on the teachings of men who today would be judged insane. the failure in modern “mind-science” is the collective avoidance of this problem. Universities don’t teach any science of inspiration. This is an example of “The stone the builders refused” or the essential problem being swept under the rug.

Jesus Christ presented several counter-intuitive statements, such as “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” In a world where groups of strong men kill or enslave weaker men, this statement is counter-intuitive.

Christ’s saying, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” is also counter-intuitive. Logical reasoning shows how this idea is justifiable.

What’s more basic than a few sayings by Jesus and other inspired persons is the basic rule itself, of which Jesus expressed examples. Other inspired teachers have expressed counter-intuitive truths as well, as they felt more inspired.

Integrating this counter-intuitiveness of inspired teachers with the counter-intuitiveness of inspired scientists is the next big step.

That step focuses more scientists on inspired creativity itself, as well as on insanity.

To many people today it’s counter-intuitive that insanity and creativity are just aspects of the same therapeutic process. But when society teaches that “God” inspires, then the individual who is for the first time inspired can only say that he is “God” or “God’s” messenger. He has no other explanation. And people assume that he is “insane”. People don’t know how to help a person become inspired and manage the process of becoming more inspired.
